Deborah has excellent communication skills, having completed a masters in journalism which was accredited by the National Council for the Training of Journalists (NCTJ).
She is a journalist, adept at getting complex and key messages across to wide ranging audiences, as well as having a good understanding of public discourse and news values. Deborah’s articles have been published in a variety of publications.
Deborah has taken part in debates on TV and radio about discrimination law.
In addition, Deborah has well-honed research skills and an eye to detail through her background as a lawyer. She specialised in discrimination law: researching cases; analysing complex information; and identifying key issues of relevance. Her work included drafting submissions to tribunals and courts, including the European Court of Justice.
She is the co-founder of Disability Politics UK and has a longstanding interest in politics and the charitable sector.
